E-Commerce Website Design

Gekostar sells all that is popular in the world of Collectables & Comics, TV & Film. Maybe your a DC Comics Batman fan? No? Marvel fan? Or maybe you just collect Funko Pop! Vinyl Figures. Gekostar supply action figures, clothing and lots and lots of general merchandise. They have a brick and mortar shop in Birkenhead, Wirral. However, the majority of their sales are through their website, Ebay and Amazon.

We were contacted by Gekostar and asked to design and develop a large scale ecommerce website, to replace their outdated Prestashop website. The client asked for the new website to be built in WordPress, using WooCommerce to control the ecommerce functionality. It was outlined that the website must act as a central hub, managing both inventory and sales, for all the businesses online and offline sales.

Project Outcome

Our team designed an eye-catching ecommerce website that performs and looks great across all devices. The website’s content is concise and split into manageable sections, making products easy to find an quick to purchase.

We also developed a POS (point of sale) that is linked to the website. This seamlessly updates the website’s inventory whenever an offline sale is made in the brick and mortar shop, to ensure that no products are oversold online.

The website has also been linked to both Amazon and Ebay. When a sale is made on either of these platforms they are synced with the website to update the website’s inventory accordingly. When a sale is made in the store or via the website the stock on Amazon and Ebay is also adjusted.
